The idea for the 21st Century Society for Children's Rights & Education grew out of the collaboration of Dr. Dorothy McClellan & Nikola Knez. From their study of democratic nation building emerged the notion that the best way to secure world peace and democracy is to create an educated, open-minded leadership class among the next generation of youth. The International Conference on Youth & Education for the 21st Century carries forward this long term project. While a Fulbright Scholar 2002-2004 in Croatia, Dr. McClellan & Mr. Knez, filmmaker and President of the Croatian Society for Children's Human Rights, founded and created the 21st Century Society for Children's Rights & Education, Islands of World Youth and World Youth Leadership Camps.
